BCS Opening in May 2009 The gates of Brown County Speedway will reopen for the first time since August 16. Richard Crawford will take back control of the track from former promoter Doug Seaman. "I want to get things back to the way they used to be, and I'm asking for everyones support," stated Crawford in a telephone interview Sunday night. Crawford also said that he would not run every week, due to the state of the economy, and only run on selected nights when he could draw the biggest crowds. Look for a opening day sometime in May with a Test & Tune session the week before. Thanks for everyones patience and we look forward to seeing you soon! Alsip ran second holding off hard charging Sheets and Webber at the checker. In the second heat race it was another Top Dog winner and defending track champion Barry Doss taking a pole start and a checker eight laps later. On the outside of Doss was the young Bill Sheets the hot driver in the last two feature races. In row two it was Joey Dunseith and Jeff Simonton followed by Ron Strack.
